“I have one gear: GO”

Wow, I didn’t expect my last post to kick up such a fuss. In hindsight, I probably should have. Considering I criticised TotalBiscuit, a man infamous for his inability to receive criticism (as a number of incidents in his SC2 shoutcasting career show), I probably shouldn’t be flattered that my post hit home. Regardless of whether it’s really the aforementioned character flaw that drove TotalBiscuit and his flock of fans to frothing fury or this was just a part of intentionally generated drama intended to gain publicity (any kind of publicity is good publicity?), I feel like I should respond to some of the complaints.

Being a dick

I was going to write a blog post but then I watched a video by a certain Brit about WoH and lost the last bit of incentive I managed to muster previously. I’m sure most of you are familiar with TotalBiscuit, either through his videos about various games or from seeing him shoutcast competitive matches.

It gets uglier. →

Dillema of Heroes

Yet another Wrath of Heroes post because besides LoL, there are no other games on my mind these days. And there’s really nothing exciting going on with LoL. I basically own, except for when I don’t.

I was reading this post by Mikfez about WoH. I don’t consider myself as one of the Mythic friendly bloggers in any way, shape or form, but I did write a few positive remarks about the new EA monstrosity in my previous post. After reading the linked post I decided to reconsider things.

I’m already running out of emotions, for I am a simple person. →

Excitement of Heroes

I’ve just decided that whenever I write about Wrath of Heroes, I’ll use an “Emotion of Heroes” titling format. Make it so.

I’ve had the chance to play WoH beta for about five hours during the last playtest. Let me tell you it’s fast, furious and fun. It’s obvious the game is still in the beta stage, as there are many problems that need to be addressed and things that need to be fleshed out or added into the game. But if Mythic manage to do that better than they did with WAR (and not launch it prematurely), WoH could become for MMOs what LoL is for DotA games.

PS: Here’s my reaction to Mythic’s decision to only announce playtest dates over  Facebook and Twitter, and not actually use the WoH homepage:

PSS: I’m really fuzzy on the state of NDA, so if this is a breach you’re free to ban me Mythic. Go ahead, it builds character.

PSSS: Here’s a video endorsed by Mythic showing the game in action:
