Just dropping in to post that Global Agenda will be going free to play with the patch 1.4 (coming out mid-April). GA is one of the games that I found amazing to watch, but I never tried it despite it having a trial offer. When it does go F2P I will need to take some time and have a look at it (add it do the pile of stuff that I have on my plate!). Players who fancy getting an edge or supporting the developers will still be able to buy the game and earn Elite status. The differences between a standard player and an Elite player will be as follows:
- No Level Restriction
- Ability to earn all of the game’s current items without spending real money.
- Access to all of the game’s current playable content, including:
- Sonoran Desert Open Zone
- Special Ops PvE (1- to 4-person Co-Op)
- 10v10 Mercenary PvP
- 4v4 Arena PvP
- Double Agent PvPE
- 10-person Defense Raids (including the new Dome Defense Mission coming in version 1.4).
- Agency vs Agency Gameplay (AvA)
Elite Agent – One-time purchase of $19.99 (£13.99 GBP, €15.99 EUR)
- Earn End-of-Mission XP at twice the rate of a Free-to-Play user
- Earn End-of-Mission Credits and Tokens at twice the rate of a Free-Play user
- Earn End-of-Mission Elite Loot upon winning an instanced PvE or PvP match
- Choose which PvP game types you would like to play when queuing for Mercenary PvP.
- Access the Auction House
- Access In-Game Mail
- Less restrictive chat capabilities
- No ads for in-game voice
- Ability to create Agencies
- Higher Login priority
Hm, it does read as somewhat fishy. Hopefully the “Ability to earn all of the game’s current items without spending real money.” line will turn out to not have any hidden snags. We’ll see.
In the mean time, here’s some gameplay to whet your appetite:
The video below is from Gothofury who had some excellent WAR videos aswell.
Apologies for the lack of Mortal Online updates, but until Star Vault manages to fix their servers the game is almost unplayable. The server restarts randomly, which makes any kind of prolonged play futile. I’m expecting them to gift players some free subscription once they fix them. They probably won’t be giving any free time to trial players, but I can always make another trial account. Which means that I am in no way done with Acutely Mortal.
Now I’m forced to play League of Legends, a game I’ve dabbled in the past, but never really gotten into. When I say forced, I mean compelled to play by my PvP glands. The game can be extremely frustrating, especially for a newbie like me, but I’m still enjoying it. If anyone feels like flexing their muscles or teaching a newbie how to play the game, my summoner name is Blaqq (QQ in the end is intentional, I do it a lot).
The real reason for this post is the GDC Guild Wars 2 video. Watch it, be amazed and express your amazement in the comments down below. Or just comment on how much I suck at LoL. Or how much I suck in general.
PS: Hah, take that Thrangis. Slowpoke. :P
I’m testing Rift at the moment while still trying to keep up my regular raging WAR appearances. Which means I’m quite busy (some call it lazy in their ignorance), like always. Thoughts on Rift will follow, but for now I want to post a video of an MMO I’m currently most excited about. Here’s 50 minutes of Guild Wars 2 in-game footage. Apparently it shows the prologue and the starting area. You can see it here. Go watch, it’s exciting (non-embeddable, sorry).

Yes, quite. Due to a billing problem my ISP decided to block my internet access for a week. Which is great, capitalism is wonderful. Apologies for not putting up a post during that time, but I thought the problem would be resolved in a matter of days. Which it wasn’t. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a lot of catching up to do. Regular posting schedule (aka Maybe-a-post-soon ™) will resume shortly.
Here’s a new video of Incomingray and Krieb of AAO on Norn, instead of my regular nonsense of a post.
A guildie regularly makes videos of the guild’s RvR sessions, but I didn’t bother posting them because they’re usually intended to showcase the fights. Which isn’t that interesting unless you’ve participated in them or play on the same server. But this one is primarily intended to entertain and does it very well (but then again, I’m biased). Switch to HQ and enjoy:
The music is Science and Looking Glass by The Birthday Massacre. For more videos check out the Youtube channel (wowmarx).
I’ve participated in testing the new skaven RvRvE instance last Friday. I was there with balanced 3 full guild groups, which may have skewed my view on the whole thing a bit, so keep that in mind.
Yes I know, I’m late. Go away. Continue reading
I was clearing my hard drive (late spring cleaning) and found video clips of roaming with my Marauder when he was in T3. I thought just deleting them would be a waste, so I pasted them together and added music, in case any weird people enjoy seeing that. The quality of the fights is not the best, as most of it was shot during the GOA-Mythic handover and there was a serious lack of players on Karak Azgal. Excuse the lack of editing, as I just couldn’t be arsed with it and had an empty head idea-wise.
The gear was Devastator with inf rewards and spec was Savagery with Thunderous Blow, Cutting Claw and Deadly Clutch. I used Brute Force, Subvert Strenght and either Deadly Clutch or Flanking as tactics.
